What each product does
A video light illuminates a subject so a camera can record it. Its job is to make a face, a product, or a stage visible to a camera, with the right brightness, colour and evenness for the recording. A video light is judged by what the camera sees: whether the subject is clear, whether the colours are true, and whether the shadows are controlled.
An LED screen displays an image: a picture, a logo, a video feed, or text, for an audience to watch directly. Its job is to be the image, not to light one. An LED screen is judged by what the audience sees: whether the image is bright, sharp, and readable from the audience's distance. The two jobs are different, and the two products are judged differently.
Where they meet, and where they do not
At an event, both may appear: lights for the stage, screens for the audience. The event needs both, as separate lines, and the inquiry should name both separately, with their own specifications. A buyer who orders lights expecting screens, or screens expecting lights, will receive a product that does the wrong job, however good it is at its own job.
Portable LED screens for events are the screen type mentioned on this site, as an event application. Large wall-mounted display screens — LED walls — are outside the lines described here, and this site lists none. A buyer who needs a wall display should say so in the inquiry, so the supplier can confirm from real stock information whether it is available.
What to ask next
Name which product you need — a light, a screen, or both, as separate lines — and the scene or audience it must serve. Ask for the specification for the exact type, the quantity terms, the lead time, and the certificates for your market, by name, with documents attached. The bulk video light inquiry page lists these confirmations for lights.
Before payment, confirm the minimum order quantity and lead time for your order. Certificates are available upon request.
